DiMS Corporate Governance

The dialysis industry is required to adhere to two (2) major governance control:

(a) Corporate Governance
(b) Clinical Governance

Corporate Governance is the system by which business corporations are directed and controlled. The corporate governance structure specifies the distribution of rights and responsibilities among different participants in the corporation, such as the board managers, shareholders and other stakeholders, and speels out the rules and procedures for making decisions on corporate affairs.

Clinical Governance on the other hand is a powerful, new and comprehensive mechanism for ensuring that high standards of clinical care are maintained throughout the clinical care and the quality of service in is continuously improved.

There are five (5) aspects in clinical governance:
Clinical Audit
Clinical Effectiveness
Risk Management
Research and Development
